Cats @ Rocket Bar ft. Willow Beats, Oisima + More
Playing at Cats @ Rocket Bar this Friday night is Willow Beats as their tour in promotion of their 'Water' EP, supported by Oisima and Problems.
Get ready, Adelaide. I'm predicting that this Friday night is going to be one of the biggest and best Cats' nights yet. Massive call, I know.
While everyone winds down as the end of year approaches, it seems Rocket Bar is is doing the opposite, bringing you yet again another killer live music line-up. This Friday night will see electronic duo WILLOW BEATS take to the stage as they tour in promotion of their 'Water' EP, supported by beat master OISIMA, PROBLEMS and of course all of your favourite resident DJs.
After building up an extremely large fan base with their 'Alchemy' EP earlier last year, Willow Beats have well and truly backed this up with an impressive 2014, to say the least. Following the release of their hit single 'Merewif' earlier this year, the duo have recently dropped their six-track 'Water' EP, which shows just how far the duo have come in such a short time. With Narayana Johnson in charge of production and beats, and Kalyani Mumtaz on vocals, the two create a dreamy, ethereal sound, clearly unique to their own, and without a doubt bring a whole new dimension to the electronic music scene.

Who better to support Willow Beats on their national tour than Adelaide's own beatmaker Oisima (Anth Wendt). With a beard almost as impressive as the music he makes, Oisima infuses ambient hip hop beats and soothing synths and is fast becoming one of the best in the business. Having previously supported the likes of Bonobo and XXYYXX, Anth also knows a thing or two about putting on a good show.
Having witnessed both Willow Beats and Oisima live on a number of occasions, I can safely say that this is a night you do not want to miss.
