Musica Copa Announces 2014 DJ Lineup

2 December 2014 | 5:48 pm | Caitlin Medcalf

To accompany the already incredible lineup competing in a football tournament for charity, Musica Copa have announced the artists providing entertainment.

With the biggest event football has to offer (in Marrickville at least), Musica Copa is set to host their annual star-studded football tournament in honour of charities across Australia. Coming up this Friday the 5th of December, some of the industry’s biggest and best have come together in support of this incredible community event.

Taking place at Marrickville’s KIKOFF Fraser Park from 3pm to 10pm, entry will be by donation.

It’s a fantastic initiative that saw last year’s event garner much success. Continuing in their successful fashion, this year’s event (thanks to the Electronic Music Conference) will see 16 huge teams representing some of Australia’s greatest industry collectives. Their aim is to score big in a huge football tournament that will see the top 3 winners take home a $12 000 cash prize to donate to their charity of choice.

Last year saw dance label Sweat It Out take home the trophy. This year, they’ll be competing against Elefant Traks x Umbrella, FBi Radio, Future Classic, inthemix, Ministry Of Sound x Mustard Music, Mushroom Group, OneLove and Pulse Radio + new summer signings Audiopaxx, Falcona, Maker Agency (who will be playing alongside Sweat It Out), MTV, Red Bull Music Academy, Sony, UNDR ctrl and Universal.

There’s heaps of artists set to take the field too such as MOTEZ, KILTER, TOUCH SENSITIVE, VAN SHE, BASENJI and heaps, heaps more.

But, that’s not all!

Alongside this incredible display of sportsmanship and comradery, there will be DJ performances. A warehouse party soundsystem will be in the works thanks to Motorik, kicking the party on.

DJ sets will come from BAG RAIDERS, YAHTZEL, YOLANDA BE COOL, INDIAN SUMMER, AKOUO and the MOTORIK VIBE COUNCIL.

Definitely going to be a banger afternoon, and all for a good cause too. The good folks at Musica Copa are sure to deliver once again.
