Live Review: LXURY 'Let Down'

7 January 2015 | 12:07 pm | Emma Jones

West London house producer LXURY has released the third track off his forthcoming third EP, Let Down.

London producer LXURY is off to a roaring start to 2015, with his latest track Let Down bouncing all over the Internet since Annie Mac's endorsement of it for her Free Music Mondays. Taking strong influence from the likes of GOLD PANDA or DJ DODGER STADIUMLet Down is a whirling ear worm with infectious house stylings!

Capturing the attention of label GRECO-ROMAN early on, LXURY has already released two EPs and is affiliated with the DISCLOSURE boys. He is in pretty good company there, and he is making the music to prove it! Strong piano chords combined with bold, almost diva-like soul female vocal samples chopped and looped throughout the song maintain it's energy, as the house beats come in and out to take it up a notch. It's a modern take on classic house, with the producer really showing what he's made of here!

The best parts are where the bass and drums kick in, seamlessly going in and out of the track as it works it's way along. It's subtle enough to not overpower the samples and piano, yet powerful enough to really take it to the next level. The track ends quickly, fading out to nothing, and before you know it you're playing it again!

Let Down is the third release off LXURY's forthcoming EP, Into The Everywhere. Previous tracks Pick You Up and Neighbour are equally as fantastic in their ability to showcase a seriously talented house producer in LXURY. Although Neighbour is slightly less classic house than the following two releases, each track shows a versatility to the West London producer's sound and style.

February 16th cannot come soon enough for the release of LXURY's third EP, New EP Into The Everywhere February 16th, and Let Down is up for free download right now!
