As UK Brainfeeder Signee LAPALUX gains traction on his upcoming album, he teams up with vocalist ANDREYA TRIANA for his third single, ‘Puzzle’.

With only a week to go before the release of his second album Lustmore (released on April 7th), the ever-so-pleasing, sultry force behind debut album, Nostalchic - and singles ‘Closure’ and ‘Don’t Mean A Thing’, give us an intricate look at his capacity with a slightly more jazz-influenced sound.

‘Puzzle’ encapsulates a hypnotic blend of lo-fi groove and jazz funk, with a sort of laid back, electronic, Lapalux production that effortlessly brings it all together. Essex based Stuart Howard has said the track is loosely based on “the hypnogenic state of consciousness between being awake and asleep”.

The digitally warped and harmoniously soulful vocals of songstress Andreya Triana, distantly float along a current of glitchy tempos, saxophone solos and deep ambient undertones, allowing this luscious four minutes to amble and bubble seamlessly between these two states of consciousness.

Lapalux is the perfect representation of an artist who doesn't constrict himself within the walls of genre. His ease and facility with tempo and sound is an anomaly amongst the global electronic scene and his forward thinking approach to music should be admired by all.
