Live Review: PREMIERE: Dugong Jr 'Fish Tears' (Recluse Remix)

2 April 2015 | 2:13 pm | Emma Jones

We premiere the latest release from newcomer in the future club scene Recluse as he remixes Dugong Jr's 'Fish Tears'

One of the freshest faces in the future club scene has remixed one of the most notable faces in the future club scene. That's right, newcomer RECLUSE has stepped up to remix DUGONG JR's 'Fish Tears', and we've got the first listen for you right here!

Both artists share a plethora of similarities, so this pairing should come as no surprise, nor should the high quality of the track. In fact, the two producers are a match made in heaven, with Recluse building on what's already been laid down by Dugong Jr, and thrusting it even further into the future.

Not staying in any one genre for too long, there is nothing "reclusive" about this remix. Starting off with a good vibe percussion show, before plunging into the gritty underground, the track weaves it's way through what could be considered a showcase of future styles.

From that omnipresent bed squeak, to thumping drums and hand clap samples, this is Recluse proving he's got what it takes to run with the big boys as he refuses to hold back.

This is Recluse's first release for this year, following on from his foray into the electronic scene last year. From dropping a Drake bootleg and remixing UV BOI as well as releasing a slew of original tracks on his SoundCloud, Recluse also supported FalconsCitizen Kay and Ribongia. Judging by the sounds he's working with in this latest release, we can hazard a guess that this will be his biggest year yet!

Oh, PS: You can grab a free download of the last SIX of Recluse's releases, RIGHT HERE.
