The two British boys behind the music making outfit, MARIBOU STATE, bring us the 2nd addition to their upcoming debut album, Portraits, with single 'Wallflower'.

After recieving kudos from BBCs Annie Mac and Pete Tong and Australia's own Zan RoweChris Davids and Liam Ivory are at it again bringing forth some of the most on point, rhythmic dance music you'll hear all year.

Said to be released on June 1st via Counter Records (label repping ODESZA and Andreya Triana), 'Portraits' is beginning to assert these two Hertfordshire Englishman as a judicious producing pair, having an acute sense for sound and structure.

Bringing us sheer brilliance with 'Moon Circles' and 'The Clown', it's no surprise that this new single captures a strong emotional undercurrent with thoughtful layering and intelligent looping.

Maribou State use a structured base of percussion and broken beats, to create something instantly addictive. It drives you forward towards an orchestral climax with a progression of looming synths and soulful vocal cuts that create emotional ambiguity and an all consuming warmth inside of you.

Texturally rich with quality instrumentation and pristine production, 'Wallflower' acts as a promising glimpse into their debut record, 'Portraits'. Maribou State hone a sound that is uniquely their own, emulating the exotic pulse of Gold Panda and the glistening atmospherics of Bonobo with a slinky twist.
