Live Review: Wongo ‘Hollywood’ Ft. Nacho Pop
Featuring Nacho Pop, Wongo's got a new one called ‘Hollywood’ and it’s the tech house track that we definitely needed in our lives.
One of Sweat It Out!’s more eclectic family members is WONGO. Living it up on the Gold Coast, he’s certainly no stranger to a) making beats and b) cracking a funny. But aside from his well-spirited nature, he’s got a fab new track out.
Featuring Nacho Pop, it’s called ‘Hollywood’ and it’s the tech-house track that we definitely needed in our lives.
Maybe it’s the wonky deflating-balloon like synth or the incredibly clean and crisp percussion that drives the whole thing forward, but more than anything, it’s the almost satirical vocals and lyrics that dominate this one.

That’s not to say however, that this isn’t a banger. It’s definitely a banger. Play this one anywhere in the world at any time and you’d be sure to get anyone moving.
What I love most about this is that constant addition and subtraction of wonky, wobbly and warped layers. It’s consistent, and that’s what makes this one feel so clean. If AC Slater and Sinden had a baby, it’d sound a little like this one.
Wongo’s been taking 2015 by its horns, and he’s definitely onto something big here.
