Live Review: Knxwledge 'Flyinglizrds' (Official Video)

13 July 2015 | 12:13 pm | Emma Jones

Prolific producer Knxwledge has released the clip for his track 'Flyinglizrds', teaming up with Ruff Mercy (Danny Brown, Disclosure) for the trippy video.

Hot on the heels of his latest album Hud DreemsKNXLEDGE has made a name for himself by being one of the most prolific producers in the rap scene right now, so it's no surprise he has been hard at work at yet another release - the video for his track 'Flyinglizrds'.

Dripping with psychedelia, the clip for 'Flyinglizrds' is like a kaleidoscopic dream. Vibrant and complex, the clip moves even faster than the track, complete with distorted imagery of the producer himself, cartoon clouds of smoke and some very trippy effects towards the end.

Avid Knxwledge fans may notice towards the end, that the track seamlessly transitions into fellow Hud Dreems track, 'Shuremng'; the tracks tied together so seamlessly you'd be forgiven for thinking it was always meant to sound this way.

Having teamed up with Ruff Mercy (who has also worked with Run The JewelsDisclosure and Danny Brown), the pair take you and throw you down the rabbit hole with these visuals. Much like the track itself, it's groove driven, eclectic and unpredictable, but works so well. It's a fun ride to listen to and to watch, which is a feeling that has become synonymous with Knxwledge's work.

Hud Dreems is out now via legendary label Stones Throw and Knxwledge will be heading to Australia later this month for a slot at the Red Bull Music Academy stage at Splendour In The Grass.
