Live Review: Ofelia K ‘White T-Shirt’ (Golden Coast Remix)

A couple of months ago newcomer OFELIA K dropped her debut, dreamy ballad, ‘White T-Shirt’. The GOLDEN COAST boys have now gotten hold of the song and it has become charged with an electro pulse.

The original track is an airy, beautiful piece of music from singer/songwriter Ofelia K. She has a distinct, but comforting voice, and the track has a very summery, road trip feel to it. Insert Golden Coast to remix the track and it goes from a hot summery day trip vibe to a night time, summer session.

Golden Coast have taken the guitar pillar holding the track together and added layers of synths, sonic sounds and a propelling beat to take ‘White T-Shirt’ to an overall glitchier place.

Golden Coast are usually known for more of an indie-pop influence to their music, however they have created a few electro remixes of late, taking tracks to whole new dimensions, which is exactly what they say their intentions were with this remix of ‘White T-Shirt’. Feeling the vibey soul the track puts out, they wanted to “punch it up to be the perfect soundtrack for late night driving”. You can imagine it as you listen to the beats of this track, although retro convertible, warm nights and perfect full moon are also required.
