Live Review: Premiere: Moan 'Holy Heartbeats (Matin Remix)'
Moans got a new remix version of her EP Holy Heartbeats out, and we're stoked to be bringing you the remix MATIN has done of title track 'Holy Heartbeats'.
She only put her EP Holy Heartbeats out a couple of weeks ago, but MOAN isn't slowing down anytime soon. The project began back in Moscow in 2014, and has since been a rapid uprising for the musician.
She draws influence from within electronic culture, as well as UK bass and garage, which is so obviously reflected in the way she structures her tracks and executes the production.
Her latest endeavour is a remix EP of the tracks on Holy Heartbeats, and we're super stoked to be bringing you the remix MATIN has done of Moan's titled track 'Holy Heartbeats'.

The Assembly Records producer has done absolute wonders to this one, giving a gorgeous spin on it and taking the darkness absolutely up there.
With a driving percussion line, gorgeous cymbals and the airy vocals that are so characteristic of MOAN, Matin's made this an underground wonder, complete with a rather eclectic 6 and a half minute structure.
This track has so many high's and very scarce low's (if any), which I find so interesting. It's consistently changing itself up, adding in synths to create the illusion of texture and taking them away to find some atmospheric ground that sets up the track to almost exist in portions.
It's a slowburner, but the six and a half minute journey is well worth it.
