PETITE NOIR has brought us another dose of Noirwave with the title track from his debut album, ‘La Vie Est Belle’ getting an accompanying clip!
PETITE NOIR has brought us another dose of Noirwave with the title track from his debut album, ‘La Vie Est Belle’. Featuring BALOJI, this track features Petite Noir’s iconic deep voice and is accompanied by an artistically mesmerising video.
It’s that dark and mysterious voice really captures you in with any of Petite Noir’s music. Baloji is a French rapper who breaks the track up, intertwining with a beat that has a somewhat oriental strings sound to it. This multicultural influence of the track is the first message behind ‘La Vie Est Belle’ meaning life is beautiful.

Artistically this video takes you on a fantastical journey through lands, patterns, colours and monochrome. Directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, the video begins to take form when you see Petite Noir wearing virtual reality goggles. It’s an interesting metaphor for the idea of la vie est belle/life is beautiful, and yet everything we are seeing isn’t reality, it’s the creation of someone’s ideal beautiful world.
‘La Vie Est Belle’ has a haunting sound to it, it’s almost like Life is beautiful is being said in a sarcastic tone, but with the accompanying video this really is a track open for your own interpretation.
