KUČKA entered our airwaves in a reasonably quiet manner in early 2015, with her ethereal voice and tunes, however many of you probably knew her without realising long before this as she featured as a backup vocalist on A$AP ROCKY‘s Live.Love.A$AP.

Pronounced ‘Coo-ch-ka’, and meaning ‘Bitch’ in Serb-Croatian, Kučka, hails from Perth, a city that seems to have become a very fertile breeding ground for some stellar electronic artists. As most good careers do, she started out recording and mixing in her bedroom, before being signed to Inertia’s new label Midnight Feature.

Touring with her live band (comprising Jake Steele and Katie Campbell), Kučka began to pave her way, not only as a recording artists, but also as a live show master. Playing at Splendour in the Grass is certainly something worth bragging about after all. Her video clips are also works of beautiful art, adding to her full ethereal, pixie-like quality.

Given the breadth of Kučka’s 2015 releases such as ‘Divinity’ and ‘Flux 98’, and being handed awards such as Stoney Roads ‘Breakthrough Producer of the Year’ and hanging out with the Red Bull Music Academy in Paris, Kučka is kind of taking the world by storm. Her sound is something like an FKA Twigs/Bjork love child, and very worth of your attention.
