MT. SI is an unexpected collaboration between Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids, Jessie Kivel of Kisses and Michael David of Classixx that, despite being unanticipated, works very, very well.

It started as a songwriting session for Classix debut album, but as Jesse Kivel says: "We realised that we had good chemistry as a trio, writing and producing in a subtle, refined way."

From there Mt. Si was born, and the three friends continued to work on music together for the next four years taking what Jesse calls a "relaxed and loose approach to the project."

Despite being together for four years this is the first we've heard from Mt. Si, who take their visual inspiration from friend and photographer David Kitz's, photograph of the mountain ranges outside Tel Aviv.

Their debut track 'Either / Or' is a fluid, ambient approach to the electro-pop we've seen from all three members of the trio within their various other acts and shows the polish four years of dedicated work. It's indisputable that, in this case, taking their time was very much worth the time invested.

Limits, the trio's first EP, is due out February 5 via Cascine.
