Live Review: GRMM and Muto will 'Wait On You'

You can’t argue with talent, which is why new Australian label Of Leisure has chosen a pretty damn fine song to promote their official formation. GRMM and MUTO have teamed up on the track ‘Wait On You’ to prove Of Leisure are the new movers and shakers in Australian music.

GRMM and Muto are both well known to Purple Sneakers. Everything they have touched to date has been pretty magical, so to have them collaborating is exciting stuff. Muto made his name creating bootlegs so it’s exciting to see him throwing out more original work.

‘Wait On You’ gives the feel of a lot of different things. GRMM says it has a jungle vibe happening, when you hear the bongo like percussion driving the track you will get exactly what he means. It’s the culmination of many ideas between the two, put onto the table and played around with. The vocals are both distorted and smoky, the synth rough but smooth to the ears. All in all ‘Wait On You’ is the kind of track you can listen to on repeat. It’s not a pump up song, but it’s not strictly chill either.

Boasting an array of damn fine Australian talent such as Young Franco, and of course GRMM and Muto, Of Leisure is more than just a label, it’s a lifestyle. The crew emphasise what it is to be apart of the music world, and how creativity feeds off creativity. The will release a collaboration tilted Game, Set, Match will be out March 29^th.
