Yuma X deliver a tale of adversity with stunning execution in their single, 'You Said', available on their debut EP, Home Recordings.

Lucy and Jake make up, YUMA X; a promising soul / electronic project hailing from our very own backyard. Standing out with their immeasurable talent, they've put out their Home Recordings EP, and celebrate the release with its final single, 'You Said'.

With no interest in cutting straight through the noise, we learn that deceit is a main theme in, 'You Said'. Solemn vocals dredge through the open plain, morally supported by the shoulder of a gentle drum pattern and emotive synths to paint the cool undertones of the sonic floor.

Directing the lyricism to a significant other, the grounds of stability are shaken in this contaminated relationship, as a battle of observation and paranoia buries itself deep under the skin of our persona. Building courage with momentum, 'You Said' progresses in textures, allowing greater room for percussive elements to delicately set an atmosphere.

Lyrically delivering the adversity with a range of vocal techniques, Yuma X cleverly emits disdain through the melting grasp of desire, and vulnerability in the elevated female cry that evolves into a prominent feature by the close of the song; elements that really take the songwriting further than just being words read off a page.

A heartbreaking scenario, Yuma X have delivered atmospheric soul in, 'You Said', through their poised demeanour and elegant production.

'You Said' is the opening track of, Yuma X's gorgeous debut, Home Recordings EP, available now as a free digital download. Catch Yuma X perform along the East Coast next month in support of Odesza's national tour.
