Formerly known for their killer Thursday night parties in Darlo, electronic music enthusiasts, TAXX return after a quiet slumber for an amazing monthly party and compilation series.

Ran by the head honcho of the recently defunct Hand GamesLuen Jacobs has been characteristically hard at work to ensure our nightlife has one more party to look forward to every few Saturdays. Held in the front bar of Plan B Small Club, expect both live music and DJ sets from some of Sydney's most prolific upcoming acts; guaranteeing an adventure into the left field with their weird and wonderful sonic artworks.

Taking the reigns for the debut event will see Multi Culti signee, Ccolo headline the evening. Having just released his Visions EP, the former Bumblebeez frontman is sure to woo you with his ethereal experience, shaping a collage of vocal dubs, wavy electronics and sampled visitors, that all meld together harmoniously in a way that really sets this artist apart from anything else going.

To be supported by psych lord, Fascinator with DJ sets from Luen playing jams back-to-back with Kimchi Princi, as well as Sudek of World ChampionTAXX is definitely picking up where they left off, and we couldn't be more excited to catch their return.

In true Luen Jacobs style, the party crew will also be offloading a siiiiiq mixtape on a monthly rotation for a free digital download. Absolutely thrilled with the first instalment, fill your heart with the love and goodness provided by the jazzy Hiatus Kaiyote revamp of Sampa The Great's, 'Shake It Off', the fickle powerhouse that is Ribongia's, 'Journeys', Null's swap-meet production exchange fulfilling, 'Back 2 Normal, Almost', Hyde's spine-tingling, 'Sacrificed Ground' and the gorgeously ornate solo debut that is Marcus Whale's, 'If (Demo)' (also of CollarbonesBlack Vanilla fame).

TAXX will be held one Saturday a month in the front bar of Sydney's Plan B Small Club. Entry is free, as are the monthly mixtape compilations found on the collective's Bandcamp. Be sure to check back in here for info on future TAXX parties and mixtapes.
