Lao Ra brings the girl power in the ‘Tell Me Why’ video
Colombian future superstar LAO RA has aired her video for new track ‘Tell Me Why’, off her debut EP, Jesus Made Me Bad. The video has a kind of late 90’s girl group feel to it, channeling that sexy innocence like Britney does for ‘Baby One More Time’.
On the video, Lao Ra says “Tell Me Why is about stupid boyfriends, young love and heartache. Immature boys playing at being real men, basically. It’s a very personal song, and the video is me and two of my best friends having a sleepover and just sharing those experiences with each other.”
Keep an eye out on Lao Ra as she continues to slay, having recently signed to Black Butter Records and opening for acts like MØ and Rejiee Snow. Lao Ra perfectly depicts the South America’s colourful, conservative and often contradictory culture. We can only hope she’ll grace us with her presence in Australia soon. Do not sleep on this queen.
