There's no slowing down for alternative electro duo ALTA.

The pair's successful EP, Awake For Days, caught the fifth spot on the overall hype machine charts, and accumulated over one million plays on both Soundcloud and Spotify. Now, ALTA is continuing to kill it with new quirky track 'Plans', plus a sneaky signing to Melbourne label Soothsayer.

It's hard to put ALTA into a specific genre. Their broad range of sound means they can use anything from oriental percussion to to hard hitting bass lines, perfecting their sound with vocalist Hannah Lesser's soothing sound. Producer Julius Dowson says of 'Plans': “We focus heavily on rhythms and use a range of different percussive sounds to build up tracks… For this track we tried to have distinctive differences between song sections to coincide with the lyrics which had sections broken into different themes (we try to do this a lot in songs).”

'Plans' really does take you on an emotional journey. "We all have different plans and come to crossroads where we need to remove ourselves from a person’s destructive path, but knowing you will still be there if they need you." says Lesser. We really dig ALTA's unique sound, and hope you do too.
