LAO RA draws us back into her Latin heritage with the release of new single 'Drum Machine'.

LAO RA draws us back into her Latin heritage with the release of new single 'Drum Machine'.

After the success of her debut EP, Jesus Made Me Bad, which made it to the Top 10 List on Hype Machine as well as placing on Spotify's Viral Chart, the songstress even supported the likes of  and Izzy Bizu to name a few. Her latest release follows a lyrical pattern from previous songs of strength and independence. Lao Ra states, "Drum Machine is about celebrating the way you are ... and embracing your own personal rhythm."

The repetitive line "I drum to the beat of my own machine" connotes the importance of freedom, which hold strong to the girl who grew up in Bogota, a city known for violence and terror. Underpinned by clean, yet complex rhythms of different Latin drums and electronic beats, take a listen to the catchy tune!
