ANNA OF THE NORTH is a duo that creates music best described as fascinating. The latest offering on their delectable music tasting plate is ‘Us’.

Hailing from Oslo, a city that doesn’t often get enough attention, ANNA OF THE NORTH is a duo that creates music best described as fascinating. The latest offering on their delectable music tasting plate is ‘Us’.

With a name like Anna Of The North you probably envisage Vikings, or something a bit mystical like the Northern Lights. Let’s just say that these guys are a little like a combo of the two; something rough, yet beautiful like a diamond. It’s comprised of singer Anna Lotterud, who was born and raised in a small town outside of Oslo, and producer Brady Born, whom she met after she decided to make the move to Melbourne.

‘Us’ is a very synth based track, fragmented in parts, and yet smooth in others. The duo describes the track as being about a relationship that holds a really strong connection, that’s so good it’s bad for you and more or less combusts because the timing wasn’t right. If you listen to the sounds, beat, and vocals, you will more or less feel every part of this scenario play out. It’s something most people have experienced so is something that can be related to.
