Live Review: The 'Secret' is out: Mija drops new single and tour announcement

Having already taken the world and the internet by storm, it is a shocking surprise that MIJA has only just released her debut single. What is not shocking however, is how crisp, creative and absolutely bangin' this single is.

Until recently, Mija's bread and butter lied with her ability to DJ and remix like no other. Beginning her music career in 2012, the young producer has already dropped remixes of Diplo, Major Laser and DJ Snake. With industry attention and a legion of fans already in full support of her, the debut of 'Secrets' was a well-anticipated affair. So if you were looking for a thumping track full of bombastic beats, Mija has indeed delivered on that. Ever so slightly sampling Tegan and Sara's 'Boyfriend', 'Secrets' is otherwise a promising display of what Mija is capable of when working only on a blank canvas.

'Secrets', in all of its dubstep delightfulness, is an ode to the genre that broke through faster and more fierce than any other. Mija has proven that there still is a place for bass-focused and full-throttle sounds in the electronic scene, and 'Secret' is sure to go down a treat with those who aren't afraid to get a little loose on the dance floor.

Mija will bring her notorious live show to Australia this March.
