Live Review: Redesign your mind with Mndsgn's latest track "GOTEEM!"
Stones Throw's Mndsgn has released 'GOTEEM!' a funky, psychedelic, classic Mndsgn track ahead of an Asian and European tour.
Psychedelic electronic maestro and Stones Throw staple MNDSGN has dropped ‘GOTEEM!’, a pre-tour single off the back of his 2016 album Body Wash.
Mndsgn (pronounced Mind Design) has been consistently pushing out track after track even after releasing an extremely impressive 16 track album towards the end of last year. Now, with this latest one, he's out to impress again.
‘GOTEEM!’ is an upbeat, funky, classic Mndsgn track which draws inspiration from his earlier lo-fi music. The dissonant vocals soar over and complement the punchy bass line which is positioned as the central point of the track. The percussion is built with a standard kick-clap shuffle rhythm but the addition of classic disco orchestral fills and high-pitched block hits creates a vibe where you just want to either head-bob along or just get up and have a little dance.

Mndsgn continues to pump out diverse electronic beats and tracks. With ‘GOTEEM!’ being released as a teaser for a February to April tour of Asia and Europe, we can only hope that Mndsgn keeps pumping out track after track and eventually comes down under again.
