26 April 2017 | 8:10 am | Sonny Thomas

Jad & The has shared a cut "Oscar Nom" from his upcoming EP, Hollywood.

Jad & Thhas shared a fresh cut with "Oscar Nom" from his upcoming EP, Hollywood.

"Oscar Nom" is an astral journey of retro synths and disco infused lo-fi house. The lead synth line, most especially in the second half, are beautiful, whimsical and sure to hit you right in the feels. Jad has titled the EP Hollywood after samples found in old VHS tapes which feature prominently throughout.

Jad & The, formerly known as the perhaps less PC Jad & The Ladyboy, is the solo project of Jad Lee. You may have previously heard of him as a member of Mitzi or Twiggy Lashes or as one half of Super Fun Bumper Edition. The Brisbane born producer is now based in the techno heaven of Berlin, perhaps telling by his last EP Skates on the S-Bahn.
