Ahead of his debut Aus tour, Brent Faiyaz lets us in on some of his fave films

19 December 2018 | 10:29 am | Caitlin Medcalf

Making a name for himself across the globe for his authentically built RnB, BRENT FAIYAZ returns to form on his latest long form release, an EP titled Lost. The EP captures the anxieties of growing up and navigating creating expectations.

Considering that a year has passed since the release of his debut LP Sonder Son, it's interesting to hear that the EP explores a similar sense of misdirection, something you can feel is really plaguing Faiyaz. The entire body of work screams vulnerability, and by the end of it, you feel so invested in his search for catharsis.

He's bringing his show to Australia for the very first time this January, and because the demand was so damn big, they've gone and upgraded the venues for both the Sydney and Melbourne shows.
