Get intimate with Keys N Krates' tour diary of Australia & New Zealand

15 January 2019 | 1:02 pm | Caitlin Medcalf

It truly is a high point for an artist to get to a point in their career when their back catalogue is both strong enough and well recognised for a live album to be both relevant and received with excitement. KEYS N KRATES are experiencing this high right now, with their live show in Toronto emerging in album format.

Known for their highly technical, raucous live shows, the record captures the essence of their performance across ten giant tracks, including 'Dum Dee Dum', 'Keep It 100' and more. They've got a couple of pals featuring on the record too, like BadBadNotGood's Leland Whitty lending his woodwind skills on 'Flute Loop' and Tory Lanez on 'Music To My Ears'.

The Canadian 3-piece just wrapped up their Closer We Get international tour with a three date show in Australia and New Zealand, playing at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory, Kaiwaka's Northern Bass festival in New Zealand and wrapping it up over the New Year at Perth's Origin Fields festival.

With a whole lot of travelling going down for their shows, we thought it would be sick for the guys to put together a tour diary of their time on the other side of the world.

Featuring a cameo from the OG Mr. Carmack and some pics from their travels, check it all out below.

Walking around backstage at a festival and you bump into all kinds of old friends.... and look who we found. The OG Mr Carmack.

Perth was a trip! The vibes playing to a crowd that is open to what we do was killer.

When you get a chance to pose for a pic with a giant donut, you take it!

Alien eyes staring right at me. Super trippy.

I can never get enough of watching MIA perform. She's the best. MIA presents Girls Gone Wild.

Flo tearing it up on the turntables. Go DJ!

Came across this awesome art/sculpture/piece/thingy at the airport. Though it was cool. Took a pic.

Behind this wall of sneakers is not a sneaker store. It's a restaurant. But why??

Fat Yak on tap? hmmmmmm
