Live Review: Anna Lunoe & Wuki join forces for a no-frills slapper in 'What You Need'

We love a Black & Gold, Home Brand, No Frills, banger. None of the bullshit, just a straight up certified, bass-heavy banger. LA-via-Sydney producer ANNA LUNOE's great at making those, and so is US producer WUKI. She's fresh out of the dusty terrain of Coachella, and not letting a moment pass by.

The pair have teamed up for 'What You Need', a bite-sized snack of a track that packs a punch, out via Sweat It Out and Mad Decent. It's not the first time the pair have collaborated, you may recall their 2017 slapper 'Bullseye' with Valentino Khan.

This new collaboration in 'What You need' sees each producer give their own flavour to it; Anna lending her rave-ready vocals and her clever ear for crafting banging house, and Wuki bringing the bass and lots of it to the mix.

'What You Need' ticks all of the boxes. It's got a catchy vocal hook, a monstrous rumble in the bassline and that crisp, driving house percussion to keep you dancing right into the morning.

Lunoe's forthcoming EP is reportedly ready to go, and will be in our hot little hands sometime this May. This monster of a collaboration with Wuki is just a taste of what's to come from this bonafide party-starter.
