Live Review: PREMIERE: Khi'leb serves hip-hop beyond his years on 'Stay Low'

Listening to an artist like Brisbane's KHI'LEB, it's very easy to forget that he's still in high school. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just a solid indication of how ahead of his time he is. At the ripe old age of seven, he began putting together his own studio recordings, and now at age 16, he's already given us two solid singles in '2020' and 'Anthem' featuring King Twiist and performed as part of the Mountain Goat Valley Crawl earlier in the year.

He's back with a slapper of a new track, which we're very excited to be premiering today here at Purple Sneakers. 'Stay Low' is the name of this new one, and he's got Mixtape Seoul on board for the beat.

Providing some hefty post-summer vibes, his steady flow sits valiantly atop the crisp beat, evolving in energy as the track progresses. The first verse sees him setting us up for what's to come. That second verse sees him spitting fire, going hard on the beat and serving unrelenting energy all the way throughout.

Khi'leb's fast solidifying himself as a heavy-hitter in hip-hop here in Australia, and as the scene here continues to thrive, his contribution to it will continue to be refreshing and everlasting.

It's also just been announced that he'll be joining Baker Boy as the opener at his Cool As Hell Brisbane show, at The Brightside on May 10, so if you're up in Brissy, get to it!

Check out the Facebook event for Friday's show here.
