7 May 2019 | 9:09 am | Staff Writer

With their 'Biggest Tour Ever' currently in full swing, the boys of PEKING DUK have today announced that their Melbourne show at the Melbourne Arena this Friday, May 10 will be Auslan accessible.

Interpreters will be provided by Auslan Stage Left, a not for profit community organisation that provides venues and organisations with Auslan interpreters, providing access at theatre, arts and entertainment events. They also provide training to interpreters and deaf consultants in the area of theatre interpreting.

The entirety of Friday's show will be interpreted, including support sets from Kwame and Kira Puru. Interpreters Mike Webb and Teale Nicholls will be signing on the night.

On the night, a stage will be set up for Auslan interpreters and those with tickets to this space will have a designated area with clear viewing. There will be staff on the night to direct those to the correct location.
