After releasing her debut EP The Wave just last year, OKENYO brings us her latest single 'Buckle Up', with more conviction and alluring basslines than ever before. Propelled by the momentum of her most recent work, the multifaceted Kenyan-Australian artist is firmly establishing herself in pushing the boundaries of electronic soul and pop.

"'Buckle Up' signifies a change in me, it's intimate but confident and bold all at the same time." says Okenyo"I wanted to explore the art of love by verbalising how we relate through our bodies, the tension and release. I love the freedom and elation in this song, it's joy unbound. It's cute AF."

Aside from the audacious lyricism and unrivalled flow, 'Buckle Up' is a fun and flirty track in a playful new light for Okenyo. This comeback sees Okenyo with more conviction than ever before, following her recent support slot with Christine and the Queens which gave her the opportunity to play shows like never before in her continuous movement from strength to strength.
