Photographer Pat Stevenson launches bi-monthly Aus music photo exhibition, Music Seen

25 June 2019 | 12:02 pm | Staff Writer

Sydney photographer Pat Stevenson is launching a bi-monthly live music photography exhibition with all proceeds going to charity.

Sydney photographer Patrick Stevenson has been responsible for some of the most lauded live music photography of the last decade. He's had his hand in photographing festivals such as Future Music Festival, personally photographed artists like Alison Wonderland and Flume, his crew Hobo have shot the last three Fashion Week's for mainstream media outlets and basically how the heck does he have time to even sleep?

He's now launching Music Seen, a bi-monthly Australian music photography exhibition to be held at The Lord Gladstone in Chippendale.

The exhibition will showcase a number of works that all showcase Australia's modern music history, whilst also celebrating local talent and highlighting the cultural significance of live music. Stevenson was inspired to put this together to challenge Gladys Berejiklian and the NSW Government's harsh live music restrictions.

“My aim is to set up a semi-permanent display of images at one of my favourite pubs in Sydney," said Stevenson. "So these incredible photographers get the air time they deserve while also raising some money for charities of the photographer’s choice."
