Introducing Nightcall, our new monthly night at Bondi’s Hotel Ravesis

Hotel Ravesis is bringing dance back to Bondi every Friday night in their new series, NOTCH, and they’ve invited us to be part of it!

Purple SneakersNight TalesFrothy Fridays and Julian Sudek + NOTCH DJs will all be helping bring dance back to Bondi

Happening every Friday night, these four rotating crews will be putting together parties featuring an array of local DJs, crews and tastemakers. We’re excited to be bringing you a monthly party we’re calling Nightcall.

Keeping in stead with our commitment to imparting the work of tasteful artists from across the country on the blog, we’re keeping this same ethos in mind in our curation of Nightcall.

The first iteration of Nightcall will see two of our local favourites Ayebatonye and Deepa taking to the decks.

Ayebatonye is a DJ/event producer/writer/community organiser/curator/podcaster and all-round overachiever. She’s become a prominent and important voice in Sydney, providing apt and thoughtful social commentary through her online platforms.

She currently hosts a two hour monthly show on Nomad Radio, using the show to reconcile her the many facets of her musical identity. During this time, she explores Afro rhythms of all sorts from all over Aus and the African diaspora, as well as experimental, jazz and electronic sounds. She uses this space to unpack the history of these sounds too, making it an educational space too.

You’ve probably heard Deepa on one of her many forays into radio. She’s the current host of Wednesday Lunch on FBi Radio and is one half of femme-fronted Honey Point who host a show on Nomad Radio and are set to throw their first party soon. She also DJs as 1/2 of Deep Tan and as herself too.

Joining them will be PS editor, Caitlin Medcalf. Catch you there!
