Live Review: PREMIERE: Summer is here to stay with FREAKCLUB's new video

13 February 2020 | 10:02 am | Emma Jones

Melbourne newcomers FREAKCLUB released their second single recently, titled 'Summer's Song'. Now, the hip hop trio inspired by the likes of BROCKHAMPTON are back this week with the accompanying visuals, premiering today on Purple Sneakers.

With a strong penchant for DIY, FREAKCLUB offer up something completely different in the current hip hop landscape, tapping into their desires for authentic self expression and individuality. 'Summer's Song' and its official visuals show a glimpse into the creative minds of the trio, showing they aren't interested in being anyone but themselves.

FREAKCLUB's Charlie said of the clip, "The music video is a visual representation of summer. We wanted to make something fun and colourful to show one of the many sides of FREAKCLUB and create a complete contrast to our previous release."

'Summer's Song' comes after the release of their debut single earlier this year, 'I've Been Crying'. Tipped to have plenty more where these tracks came from, we're keeping both eyes firmly fixed on FREAKCLUB in the months to come! Watch the clip below.
