Live Review: Francis Inferno Orchestra remixes Body Corp's 'Negative Reaction'

Francis Inferno Orchestra takes over Body Corp's 'Negative Reaction' with a very special 'Goblin Magick Mix' rework.

Sydney musician, DJ and Retiree band member BODY CORP has been making waves of late, and for good reason. Coming off the back of his brand new EP, Soft Expression, Body Corp draws from Japanese influence to navigate the intersection of underground dance music through glittering synths and sun-tinged melodies.

In celebration of this comes a special 'Goblin Magick Mix' from Francis Inferno Orchestra, who puts his own hard and fast spin on one of the more leftf-ield 90s club-house inspired tracks, 'Negative Reaction'.

The remix is a striking view into the world of Melbourne producer Francis Inferno Orchestra, who strips the tune of the glimmering intrinsic groove and takes it up a few notches on the BPM counter, transforming the track into a smoke-hazed introspective rework. Whilst preserving the influences of darkness in the original, Francis Inferno Orchestra builds on this to create an entirely brand new (and incredible) experience.

With both artists firmly planting their reputations as respectively exciting electronic music acts to emerge over recent times, the Soft Expression EP is a delicate wave of energy that may liberate anyone in need of motivation in times of isolation.

Soft Expression is available now on digitally and on 12" vinyl. You can check out the EP on Soothsayer's Bandcamp.
