Blurring the lines of conventional techno music, Welsh producer KELLY LEE OWENS has released new song off her upcoming album Inner Song.

Blurring the lines of conventional techno music, Welsh producer KELLY LEE OWENS has released new song off her upcoming album Inner Song, which is out August 28 via Smalltown Supersound. The new track, titled 'Night', follows her February techno hit 'Melt!' and is a blissful taste into what is to come off her second album.

'Night' opens with a monopoly synth and features Owens' soft, intimate vocals before transforming into a danceable, staccato rhythm. Her solo work layers soundscapes with physical movement in the form of organic samples and four-to-the-floor melodies, creating a wholesome, dazzling club anthem.

"This track speaks as to how feelings and insights are more accessible to us at nighttime - how the veils are thinner somehow and therefore how we are more able to connect to our hearts true desires" says Owens.

"I wanted to release this track as a gift to you during this crazy time, to give a part of my heart to you all."

Inner Song was due for release in May, however last month Owens told fans that it would be pushed back until August due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The album finds the musician diving deep into her own psyche and exploring a quixotic blend of body moving beats and pensive songwriting to conceptualise a range of sonic and emotional facets.
