100 gecs to host virtual Minecraft festival with Cashmere Cat, Charli XCX, A. G. Cook and more

100 gecs have announced a very special virtual music festival to be held on Minecraft and featuring the likes of Charli XCX, Cashmere Cat and more.

100 gecs have announced arguably the most meta of all the virtual concerts we're now seeing in ~these strange times~. The duo will be putting on a virtual music festival called Square Garden, and the line up is 10 outta 10.

Headlining the concert along with 100 gecs is Charli XCX. Cashmere Cat b2b benny blanco, Kero Kero Bonito, and A. G. Cook, Danny L Harle, Tommy Cash, Dorian Electra and many more are also locked in to play. The festival will be built in a Minecraft world and it all goes down on April 24th. The concert will also be streamed on the pair's YouTube channel for those not Minecraft-inclined. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Feeding America, a non-profit focused on hunger relief.

For new gecs fans, this might be somewhat confusing but Minecraft holds a special place in gecs lore as it's where they played their first show.

It's been a busy year for the genre-defying act as they continue to drip feed remixes from their long-awaited remix album, Tree of Clues. We've already heard remixes from Injury ReserveA. G. Cook, a triple-header with Charli XCXRico Nasty and Kero Kero Bonito, and most recently with Dorian Electra.
