Live Review: Arca releases new single, 'Nonbinary'

ARCA has released a brand new single. Titled 'Nonbinary', the track is the first glimpse from her forthcoming new album, KICK i, and follows on from her March mixtape, @@@@@.

'Nonbinary' also comes with a new video directed by Frederik Heyman and shows ARCA in a series of elaborate sets with the lyrics running across the screen. As the track picks up in intensity, so to does the clip, ultimately ending in a scene of ARCA confronting herself.

According to Resident Advisor, ARCA pointed out the significance of the lyric, "speak for your self-states" in a recent interview with Paper. "I'm asking for recognition that we have multiple selves without denying that there's a singular unit... I want to be seen as an ecosystem of minor self-states without being stripped of the dignity of being a whole," she said.

There is no release date as of yet for KICK i, but this release is more than enough to keep us happy for now! Dive into 'Nonbinary' below.
