Fans of SYD or JORJA SMITH, Melbourne newcomer HANNAH is here to make a brilliant first impression with her smooth, sultry debut single.

Fans of SYD or JORJA SMITH, we've got a treat for you today. Melbourne newcomer HANNAH is here to make a brilliant first impression with her smooth, sultry debut single, 'Sweet & Sour' and we're thrilled to bring you your first listen.

Written about the particular moment in a relationship when something so good can turn so bad, HANNAH's deft lyricism lends itself perfectly to her absolutely stunning voice, and when paired with the live soulful instrumentation of her band, it makes for a velvety, intoxicating experience.

Speaking of her debut single, HANNAH said, “I wrote Sweet & Sour about control in a relationship, where someone can turn something that seems so good and perfect, into the complete opposite."

"We have the power, the ego, and the control to let negative thoughts and emotions override opportunities for something good to happen in our lives. This song reflects just that, where control can turn something from so 'sweet to sour.'"

Released alongside visuals filmed in Melbourne's Bakehouse Studio, HANNAH is joined by fellow local musicians Julian Steel, Ryan Schmidt, and JAYDEAN (who also featured in Kaiit's OG Luv. Kush pt.2). It's a solid statement from an artist determined to make her mark, and as far as first impressions go they don't get much more impressive than this.
