Sydney producer SELF TAPE has finally shared the release of his debut EP 'Ante Meridian'. Solidifying himself as one of Australia's rising house producers, Self Tape has served up the complete package including some already released tracks on top of three brand new singles from his discography.

'Ante Meridian' sees Self Tape turn to his more organic and ethereal side as he embraces a new level of accessible production. Exploring sounds of the early morning after a late night he draws inspiration from nights out prior to Sydney's lockout laws, creating a sultry sense of euphoria, admiration and even moments of solitude that is experienced on dance floors around Sydney.

Taking on new meanings of transcending musical encounters, Self Tape has angled 'Ante Meridian' as a record that allows time to stand still and usher listeners into an arena of introspect through sensual house vocals and instrumentals. The EP cuts through a mass of textures that combines wide-ranging ambience and rich synths, which is backed up by a range of collaborations with fellow creatives including Isadora, Charles Murdoch and Annie Bass.

On the release, Self Tape says "While dance floors have shut down for the moment, Ante Meridian is an injection of dance heavy rhythms mixed with light shades and enveloping soundscapes that continues to bring back the wind down feeling at the afterparty".

"While making this record I drew inspiration from my travels to New York as I wandered from block to borough and sat in cafes with just a laptop and headphones to create the barebones of each track on this record. Escaping from reality and capturing the euphoric feeling of being in an unfamiliar world are two qualities dripped through this record and something I always love to capture in my sounds".
