Bicep “drift from the dancefloor” with hour-long ambient mix
On Saturday, May 2nd, NTS held a mammoth fundraising event for The Global Foodbanking Network, called Remote Utopias. Held over 24 hours, they tapped a veritable who’s who line up “for a whirlwind of music of all genres, exclusive premieres, radio and live video streams” including Tame Impala, Palms Trax, Jonah Hill, Skrillex, JPEGMAFIA, Weyes Blood and more.
One particular highlight of the event was that of BICEP, who delivered an hour-long ambient mix. The perfect listening for being in self-isolation, it’s a softer and more gentle side to the iconic duo. If you happened to miss the mix when it aired, you’re in luck as it’s now streaming in all its ambient glory.
Inspired by the “neo noir classic Blade Runner,” the mix has been described as a “drift from the dancefloor” for the duo as they put together a “special hour of neon-soaked synth journeys and hazy atmospherics.”
This mix comes after the release of a brand new single from Bicep back in March titled ‘Atlas’.
