Nicolas Jaar is set to release his sixth studio album this coming July with a four-part body of work titled 'Telas' on the way.

It's been only a couple of months since we were gifted a new NICOLAS JAAR album, but it seems the Chilean-American producer is in a very giving mood during quarantine. He's announced another new album, Telas, is on the way and out this July following on from his March record, Cenizas. Not only that, but we've also been treated to the first cut from this record as well in 'Telahora'.

Nicolas Jaar joined Radio Alhara over the weekend to unveil details of the forthcoming record. He explained the record's name Telas is translated into "tales", and that it is "an hour-long piece of music separated into four parts." He detailed it was made in collaboration with many people and has actually been in the works for about two years.

According to the recorded introduction, we can expect more from Telas throughout the month of June including the gradual unveiling of the visual component created by artist Somnath Bhatt. In an explanation on Jaar's websiteTelas is described as "a digital terrain created by Abeera Kamran where the sounds and illustrations of Telas live in their liquid primordial states."

"The site was imagined by Abeera, Somnath and Nicolás as a panspermic terrain where particles travel through space, weaving together life forms, where no matter -whether existing in thought, physical form or other- has a solid or unmovable origin."
