Penelope Two-Five deliver an otherworldly soundscape in their offering for Of Leisure's Blue Line Steppers compilation.

After kicking things off in true style last week with a release from none other than Sydney legends, FISHINGOf Leisure are unveiling another sneak peek at their forthcoming compilation today which we are thrilled to be premiering on Purple Sneakers. Coming in hot courtesy of Brisbane's best kept secret, Penelope Two-Five, 'Dork' is the one of the eight tracks on Blue Line Steppers 2, and is a testament to not only how brilliant Penelope Two-Five sound on each and every release, but also the careful and considered curation from Of Leisure for their very special release.

A near-six minute voyage into the void, 'Dork' is a masterclass in the emotive, palpable and energetic brand of techno and house that Penelope Two-Five are just so good at creating. Fresh off releasing their debut album, Alkali, the Brisbane duo waste no time once again creating a completely immersive, full-bodied listening experience thanks to Cameron Lee's soulful singing and Shannon Mavrik's meticulous production. Combining these two formidable elements, 'Dork' evolves into an otherworldly soundscape you can't help but get lost in.

With Blue Line Steppers 2 out in the world on July 10th, Of Leisure have once again proven themselves to be so much more than a label. Indicative of having their finger on the pulse, Blue Line Steppers 2 is a showcase of the wealth of underground talent in Australian dance music right now and the respective communities that surround it. While we can't all be together physically on a packed dancefloor, Blue Line Steppers 2 shows the community spirit around the country is still alive and well — and sounds better than ever.
