Melbourne/Naarm collective Fluxx are celebrating their first birthday with a special compilation featuring Lex Deluxe, Lupa J and many more!

Naarm/Melbourne based collective/club night FLUXX has made a name for itself as a community that celebrates and showcases local talent on the darker side of club music. Having existed for a year now, they're now celebrating their twelve-month milestone with a stellar compilation of some of their favourite artists. Although they would've liked to celebrate their first birthday in a physical space, Fluxx Volume 1 still provides an ideal soundtrack for any self-isolated, socially-distant bedroom or loungeroom rave thanks to the many different sounds across the whopping 29 tracks.

Featuring the likes of Lex DeluxeDAWSCorinm8riarchyLupa JSig Nu GrisYollks and many more, Fluxx Volume 1 is a wild ride through a variety of dance music genres, touching on everything from techno to trance, some breakbeat and plenty of acid, as well as some pop, IDM and experimental classic thrown into the mix as well. Always focused on pushing boundaries, Fluxx deliver exactly this on their compilation, showcasing not just a vast array of sounds but a very diverse list of artists, producers and composers from Melbourne and beyond.

If you're listening to this and you get that deep yearning for experiencing dance music in a physical sense, Fluxx also have some good news for you with a full DJ mix of the whole album coming next week care of local DJ crew and club night Bleus. The mix will be also accompanied by a video by Fluxx’s own DJ/VJ House Mum, so while it's no substitute for the real thing, it still provides an added layer of participation and immersion that we all need right now.

Fluxx Vol.I is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, and all proceeds from the compilation will be going towards Black Rainbow and Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. The compilation is out now, buy here.
