Miiesha for the National Indigenous Music Awards

Finalists for the 2020 NATIONAL INDIGENOUS MUSIC AWARDS have been announced today with none other than superstars BAKER BOY and MIIESHA leading the nominations. They are two of the 24 artists nominated across seven categories for this year’s event, which include Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and New Talent of The Year.

Baker Boy is up for three awards with Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for ‘Meditjin’ featuring Jess B, and Film Clip of the Year, also for ‘Meditjin’. Miiesha is also up for three awards including New Talent of the Year, Album of the Year for her debut record Nyaaringu, and Film Clip of the Year for ‘Drowning’.

The awards ceremony will be held at August 8 from 7pm AEST and is set to be livestreamed across Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, as well as a broadcast on NITV for free-to-air television, Double J on digital radio and National Indigenous Radio Service broadcasters on terrestrial radio.
