Just days after teasing the existence of collaborative new music between them, BONOBO and TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS have shared a brand new single. Titled 'Heartbreak', this single leads a two-track release set to drop November 13th on Bonobo's very out imprint, OUTLIER.

'Heartbreak' is the emotive slice of breakbeat goodness we need right now. Custom made for the dancefloors we are all sorely missing, it's a full throttle exploration of the foundations of electronic music in the NYC’s disco revolution of the 1970’s and 80’s, and an excellent fusion of both artists' own respective skills. Sampling Chris Wiltshire’s iconic vocal line “I can’t take the heartbreak” from the ‘83 disco anthem 'Weekend' by Class Action, it's the kind of club-focused euphoria many of us are longing to experience again.

Bonobo said of the single, “Orlando (TEED) was playing me a fairly stripped-back idea he had for something last year. We spent a few afternoons in his studio trying ideas out and eventually, ‘Heartbreak’ was the end result…’Heartbreak’ seems like a good starting point and was the track that became the catalyst to start the label. One for the dance floors in a time when they’re dearly missed.” He also noted it's aim is to “reflect the more club focused side of what I’m building with OUTLIER”

The imprint, launched in partnership with Ninja Tune, is set to expand on the series of club shows and festival stage takeovers of the same banner. It will be curated by Bonobo himself, and will serve as a platform for the artists and sounds that are often on display at the events. With an aim of bringing fans back to the dancefloor with emotive releases rooted in club culture, there are sure to be many more highlights coming from OUTLIER in the future. Until then, listen to 'Heartbreak' below:
