Live Review: Flight Facilities celebrate ten years of 'Crave You' with new "Hush Hush" bootleg

3 September 2020 | 4:13 pm | Emma Jones

Celebrating ten years since the release of their now-iconic single, 'Crave You' featuring Giselle, Flight Facilities have shared a new bootleg.

It has been a whole decade since Flight Facilities released their now-iconic track, 'Crave You' featuring Giselle. The song was one of the 2010's biggest, serving as a major festival highlight, amassing hundreds of millions of streams, landed at #39 in triple j's Hottest 100 of the Decade and was even reprised by the queen of pop herself, Kylie Minogue. It catapulted Flight Facilities from emerging dance act to stars on the rise, and has soundtracked many, many moments for all of us growing up over the years.

Now, as a means to celebrate its release, Flight Facilities has shared a special bootleg to breathe new life into the song. It's a thumping, funk-driven take, featuring Giselle's vocals floating above the fray. Maintaining all of the hallmarks of what made us fall in love with the song in the first place, as well as some of the quintessential bloghaus era stylings, it's a very welcome blast from the past that will get us right through to the weekend.

Flight Facilities said of the release, "We stumbled across this tasty lo-fi house bootleg by Hush Hush using Crave You. It reminded us of the mid-2000's blog-house era that we founded Flight Facilities upon, uploading our own edits and bootlegs that would form a catalogue online and in our DJ sets. After fitting this into our own DJ Sets, it felt right to give it a proper release in celebration of its 10 year anniversary."
