Hermitude tap Daniel Bedingfield for club ready single ‘Spotlight’
Legendary Aussie electronic duo Hermitude have teamed up with early 2000s icon Daniel Bedingfield to produce a dancefloor ready single ‘Spotlight’. The pair (consisting of Angus Stuart and Luke Dubber) have created yet another head-spinning banger proving Hermitude are masters of their craft.
Beginning with jazzy keys and Bedingfield’s stand out vocals, this new house single quickly cranks up the voltage with a club-ready bassline, bouncing synths, and groovy electronic beats. Certified to always provide a good time, Hermitude have created a party anthem to guide us through to better days where the clubs are playing this new tune on loop.
While recording the new single in LA, the duo paired up with Bedingfield who brings a sense of groove to the single with his electric vocals. The New Zealand singer, who was a huge success in the UK during the early 2000s with his hit single ‘Gotta Get Through This’, is the perfect addition to this addictive new tune.
Talking about Bedingfield‘s contribution to their song, the Hermitude boys said, “He brought so much vibe into the studio that day and his raw talent oozed out of the vocal booth.”
“He got the essence of the song in that first take and then we refined it from there. A truly unique and amazing artist and a session we’ll never forget!”
‘Spotlight’ is the second single released by Hermitude in 2020 following their track ‘Too High’. The pair’s latest body of music was released in 2019 with their album Pollyanarchy that saw the pair tour the globe performing for crowded dancefloors around the world.
Ever since the beginning of the decade, this talented duo have positioned themselves as one of Australia’s most respected electronic outfits, creating infectious danceable tunes that have attracted the attention of fans from around the world. While we eagerly wait for Hermitude‘s next release, the pair’s new single ‘Spotlight’ has you covered, easing those iso-blues, and getting you grooving on an all-time high.
