Live Review: Shygirl and Sega Bodega wreak havoc with 'FREAK'

Off the back of her ARCA collaboration back in June on 'Unconditional', Shygirl has returned with a pounding, intense and liberating ode to sexuality on the aptly titled 'Freak'. Teaming up with NUXXE label co-founder Sega Bodega for production, 'Freak' is an unapologetic heater and we are absolutely here for it.

Creating a world without shame or hesitation, Shygirl's seductive and self-assured vocals go toe to toe with the propulsive, mind-melting cacophony of a beat courtesy of Bodega. You can hear how much fun the pair must have had making this one, leaning right into how unashamedly liberating it is to be in tune with your sexuality, and how joyous it is to create with your friends. Her vocal delivery is fierce, switching up her flows to go from bold and spitfire, to drawn out and alluring. Carefree in how in touch she is with her desires and emancipating herself completely from any negative connotations associated with that, 'FREAK' is a bold, assertive reclaiming of womxn's sexuality — and a damn banger, too.

Released alongside some visuals courtesy of 3D modeller and designer Sy Blake, 'FREAK' is yet another impressive release from Shygirl. Watch the video below:
