Memphis LK has taken Tame Impala's iconic single, 'The Less I Know The Better' to the club in this new cover.
Fresh from the release of her new single, 'Green Light', MEMPHIS LK has shared a new cover of Tame Impala's 'The Less I Know The Better'. Completely taking over the original, she swaps the psychedelic pop sounds and that now-iconic bass line for a club focused sound with euphoric heights.
Memphis LK said of the cover, "I decided to make a club version of one of my fav songs. I cut in some videos from my camera roll from before we went into lockdown to remind us of the good times, in the hope that we'll all be together again sooooon."
In July, Memphis shared a cover of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River'. 'Green Light' has been on heavy rotation for us at Purple Sneakers. At the time of its release, we said, "It’s a melting pot of pop, garage and bass-driven electro with Memphis LK showing exactly why she’s positioned as one of this year’s most exciting emerging acts." Recently, Tame Impala has been very busy indeed with Kevin Parker jumping on an episode of NPR's Tiny Desk, sharing a new video for 'Is It True' and remixing 070 Shake's 'Guilty Conscience'. Tame Impala also recently celebrated the fifth birthday of his 2015 album, Currents, which 'The Less I Know The Better' is taken from. Read our retrospective piece on that record here.
