Sampa The Great has shared a performance of her set for Black August, live from Zambia, performing three songs from 'The Return' and one unreleased track.

Fresh from calling out the entire Australian music industry with her new single featuring KROWN on 'Time's Up'Sampa The Great has performed another stunning set live from Zambia. The performance was part of Black August 2020 (a free virtual benefit concert promoting the release of all political prisoners in the US hosted by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and Movement For Black Lives aka M4BL), and was filmed live in Mosi-oa-Tunya, also known as Victoria Falls, by an all-Zambian crew.

In the set, she performed four songs including 'Mwana’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Final Form’, as well as a brand new song titled 'This Is The Light' featuring Tio Nason, who joined her for the performance. Sampa called for the freedom of political prisoners throughout her set, and dedicated the set to her "brothers and sisters in the diaspora."

Sharing the set on Twitter, Sampa wrote, "I’m glad to be able to represent my country Zambia globally!"

"Thank you to the Shoatz Family for having us be a part of Black August. Love always to the diaspora as we continue to bridge, connect and liberate globally."
