Revolver Upstairs Records Releases new EP by Common Underground

2 October 2020 | 11:14 am | Parry Tritsiniotis

Revolver Upstairs records has today released a new EP from two stalwarts of Revolver, Flip3k and Jimmy le Mac, combining as Common Underground.

The word Revolver is one that is folklore in Australian dance. Connoisseurs of taste, the world renowned club has in 2019 entered the world of releasing music. Housing releases from various internal brands, resident artists and extended family, Revolver Upstairs records has today released a thumping new EP from two stalwarts of Revolver, Flip3k and Jimmy le Mac, combining as Common Underground.

These two DJs have a long history as regular DJ's at The Late Show, and you probably would have heard these tracks if you attended one of their sets pre-March. Opening the EP is 'Happy Accident' and as the name suggests, this track bursts out like a four leaf clover. A groovy bass line, thunderous vocal sample and banging percussion create an infectious groove that delivers at every moment. On the B side sits Lil Sumthin. Again the name sets the tail of the track. There's no mucking about, just an extremely solid 4/4 snappy dance floor number!

It's great to see a venue and national staple in Revolver upstairs indulging and releasing music of a strong caliber. Times are tough right now, obviously, so supporting releases like these from such important institutions as they battle and evolve is ever so important. Buy/stream here.
